Annie, The Girl Nobody Wanted

Annie, The girl nobody wanted

What do you do when you realize your mother doesn't want you...and you're only five years old?

Find out in the narrative as Dr. Annie Hurley shares her personal story of childhood abandonment, a life that entailed years of poverty, fear, hunger, loneliness-and unimaginable physical and sexual abuse.

Annie's journey led her though over thirty different home living situations, including several years of residing with her mother, whose love and attention Annie craved above all else. Yet instead of living a life secure in her mothers love and protection, Annie lived in fear and emotional torment on a daily basis.

Thought she always believed God was real, and even caught supernatural glimpses of Him alone the way, Annie could never seem to find the relationship with Him her heart longed for. Finally, when a high school teacher invited Annie to hear a Christian speaker, Annie prayed to receive Jesus. This life-altering event set her on a path toward healing, deliverance, and restoration, where she learned...

-How to renew her mind to the Word of God

-How to find her true identity in Christ

-How to break free from torment through the power of forgiveness

-How to overcome rejection through receiving Jesus' love

-How to keep her children free from the issues of her past

-How to exchange Satan's lies for God's truth

-How to know God as a Father to the fatherless

Evil is real and it exists in this world; Annie's story proves it. More importantly, it proves that no matter how deep the enemy assaults, Jesus' love is deeper still. Nothing can separate us from that love, or the faithful care of a heavenly Father who offers hope and healing to all who will reach out to Him and ask for His guidance to peace and freedom.

Annie, The Girl Nobody Wanted

go live

Hi Friend,

What do you do when you realize your mother doesn't want you...and you're only five years old? Find out in my autobiography, Annie, the Girl Nobody Wanted--my first nonfiction Book! As you turn the pages of my transparent account, you'll discover that although I endured life of abandonment and abuse, today I am bold and confident. How did such Victory come out of a life filled with poverty, fear, hunger, loneliness, and unimaginable physical and sexual abuse? Come with me on my journey to uncover the truths that set me free.

My childhood and youth led me through over thirty different home situations, including several years of residing with my mother, whose love and attention I craved above all else. Yet, instead of living secure in my mother's love and protection, I lived in fear and emotional torment on a daily basis.

Though I always believed God was real, and even caught supernatural glimpses of Him along the way, I could never seem to find the relationship with Him I longed for. Finally, when a high school teacher invited me to hear a Christian speaker, I prayed to receive Jesus. This life-altering event set me on a path toward healing, deliverance, and restoration.

Evil is real and my story proves it. More importantly, it proves that no matter how deep the enemy assaults, Jesus' love is deeper still.

I defeated the enemy and exchanged the horrific life once lived for a life filled with great harvest of healing and restoration. This book will not only inspire you but will arm you with the right tools for becoming healed and living each day from a perspective of victory instead of defeat.

Just want to say if you haven't gotten the book, ANNIE THE GIRL NOBODY WANTED you should get it now.

It is hard to put down once you start reading it. I cried a lot as I read because of things ANNIE had to endure during her childhood. I praise GOD  that through it all she kept her eyes on Him and He helped her become the Christian woman she is today. I am blessed to know her as my pastor and friend.

I received my book in the mail today and have read over 150 pages. I can’t put it down! Your testimony is beyond amazing. When I met you in Steinmart, all I saw was this beautiful women who appeared to have it all and who lived a sheltered life. This book has changed my life.

I have lived a very sheltered and nice life with such an amazing family and cousins, and to hear your story was amazing and very sad to me!  I worry and get depressed over such petty things in life and this book changed me!  I have learned to never judge anyone because you NEVER know what they might have gone through or are going through!  You are an amazing woman!

I remember being a little girl around the age of 8 or so and watching my mom at the kitchen table writing her book til late at night. A book that’s been in her heart all these years of the life she lived. Not being wanted by her own mother at the age of 5 and living from house to house. In those years she lived in over thirty different houses. Being abused mentally, physically, and sexually on a daily basis.

As young as I can remember....7 or 8 years old. For years, My mom would preach at different churches and give her testimony. At that age I knew her testimony like the back of my hand.  Knowing how her life was even at the young age I was, I use to thank God all the time for the parents I had and the life I lived. I can not wait to get my copy of her book and read it. This has been a big dream of hers for years and it has finally come true. I’m so proud of you mom. Love you so much!

I sat down yesterday with no interruptions and read Annie's book.  My heart hurt and rejoiced in her story. God's power of healing her one step at a time, peeling off the layers, as she puts it.  This book inspired me to commit to a closer walk with God daily. Thank you Annie for sharing your past with all. I pray for blessings to all who read Annie, The Girl Nobody Wanted.

WOW Annie! This book...

What a testimony. I've cried, laughed, cried some more. And every time I think I know where it's going, another twist. Definitely a must read.

I've admired and respected you from day one, but now that I know the whole story, I think you're downright AMAZING. May God continue to use you, and bless your family and ministry.

Annie's transparency of her life will relate to many women, who sadly have faced similar difficulties. Yet, her story like many others needs to be told because there is a real answer through Jesus Christ, who gives complete freedom and healing. I appreciate her telling of the real story of the process to find all that Jesus offers, which will encourage people to embrace that journey, which sometimes is not easy or quick. This book is a good read for both women and men. Thank you Annie for sharing your story - well done!

I do recommend this book. It is a true life example of how God can restore any of us with His hope, love, and faithfulness. Your past doesn’t define you and it doesn’t disqualify you for the work God has prepared for you to accomplish. God is awesome. What a testimony of healing, forgiveness, restoration, and hope!!
